Chantmarle means “Song of the blackbird” in Norman French and when you visit it is easy to see how the venue inspired such a pretty name. Whether it be a fairy tale, formal wedding breakfast or a fun filled hog roast finger buffet, followed by a traditional ceilidh band and dancing, we can make sure that every moment of your day will be exactly as you dreamed it would be. We now have a civil wedding licence too. Every couple will be presented with a complimentary honeymoon, ensuite bedroom with breakfast, where they can relax and unwind after a perfect day.

Chantmarle Manor is set within 100 acres of the most beautiful Dorset countryside. The gardens, designed by Francis Inigo Thomas in 1910, are Grade II* listed in their own right.
The formal terrace and water gardens include fountains and glowing, golden, Ham Hill stone terraces. This is a wonderfully tranquil setting for a drinks reception. Your guests will enjoy wandering around these beautiful grounds and discovering the medieval moat and two lakes hidden in the woods.

With ample parking and accommodation for up to 50 people, guests may also decide to spend the night in one of our many rooms or suites before setting off on their journeys the next day. Each and every bedroom has a unique name and style inspired by the abundance of natural beauty on our doorstep. Rooms such as the “Poppy Room” or the “Dandelion Suite” or the “Wagtail Room” all have a sense of peace and harmony with their surroundings.
Explore the surrounding countryside and you’ll soon discover what makes this area so special. Country walks are ample and as the wild deer dart through the woodlands and herons drift casually by, you will begin to appreciate life at a different pace.
