Steeped in history, the British Pullman from Orient Express carriages were once part of the Bournemouth Belle, the Brighton Belle and the legendary Golden Arrow, whisking passengers to the majestic ocean-going liners of the 1920s and 1930s. Hedingham Castle

Hedingham Castle’s Norman keep, 110 feet high, was built c.1140 by Aubrey de Vere and is still owned by one of his descendants, Jason Lindsay and his wife Demetra. There are four floors to explore, including a magnificent Banqueting Hall spanned by a remarkable 28 foot arch, one of the largest Norman arches in England. A good view of this splendid room can be obtained from the Minstrels’ Gallery, built within the thickness of the 12 foot walls.Contact

The Council Room is arranged in a boardroom style and is ideal for meetings of up to 30 people. The Meeting Room

The Linnean Society’s Meeting Room is an ideal setting for conferences or lectures with seating for up to 100 people. Located on the ground floor the Meeting Room has recently been refurbished to its original period style and contains a raised-oak dais that provides an impressive platform for speakers.
