Split Level Venue

| January 12, 2009 | 1 Comment

Neighbourhood, a 650 capacity, split level venue. The larger space known as Neighbourhood is reduced to a third of its size by craftily concealing the top balcony area, restricting upstairs access and reducing the ground floor area with seductive rich drapes, creative lighting and amazing bold visuals. Designed by Julian Fullalove and Ben Brett, Soundbooth also boasts interchangeable furniture and a warm, intimate aesthetic creating a reduced 250 to 350 capacity space.

Set in the heart of Notting Hill Gate, off Portobello Road near the skate park, Neighbourhood is a hidden gem in the crown of West London’s nightlife. Born from the ashes of previous incarnation ‘Subterrania’, Neighbourhood boasts a triple stack Funktion1 soundsystem in a beautifully finished, understated two floor space with superb attention to detail and a great visual aesthetic due to the tireless work of the lighting man Ben Brett!

Neighbourhood has been host to some great live events in the past including; The Zutons, The Streets, The Libertines, Plan B, Calvin Harris, Pharrell Williams, Omar, Hard-Fi, Groove Armada, 50 Cent, Norman Jay’s Good Times. Special launch nights and corporate events have been arranged at the venue for Sony Records, Universal Records, Virgin Records, Penguin Books, XFM, BBC 1Xtra, Oakley Sunglasses, Hugo Boss, Yahoo, Myspace, London Calling, TNT Magazine and Jade Jaggers Jezebel.

Features include the booming Funktion 1 soundsystem, renowned world wide for its superior crystal clear sound quality, and soundsystem of choice for all the major festivals and events around the world.
